Maryland Vehicle Inspection Station
Each National Budget Muffler location is an authorized Maryland Vehicle Inspection Station. If you recently purchased a used car, or moved to Maryland from out of state, you need to get a vehicle inspection in order to get your registration. You may also need repairs and a vehicle re-inspection because a law enforcement officer issued you a Safety Equipment Repair Order (SERO). We can help. We have three convenient Harford County locations – one each in Joppa, Bel Air, and Havre de Grace.
Vehicle Safety Inspection
Your vehicle safety inspection will take about an hour and a half. Our technicians will thoroughly run through the inspection checklist, examining and testing all items. Here is an abbreviated Maryland vehicle inspection checklist for your reference. We are required to inspect several items within each category to ensure they are in working order and do not pose a safety hazard.
If Your Car Fails the Maryland Vehicle Inspection
If your car, small truck, or SUV fails the inspection, we will give you an inspection sheet showing which system failed and why. We can also give you an estimate for fixing the issues. You can then have us make the repairs, or take your car somewhere else.
